Jr B Premier forward Michael Puskar
Junior B Premier forward, Michael Puskar has just signed a Junior A contract with the Northern Cyclones in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League (AJHL). Puskar played for the Pittsburgh Junior B Premier team last season, which finished 1st overall in the league, and qualified for the USA Hockey National Junior B Tournament. He signed with the Northern Cyclones who play out of Hudson, New Hampshire. They are considered to be one of the top teams in the AJHL every year. Last season, the Northern Cyclones finished the regular season 28-12-5, and went on to win the AJHL playoff Championship against the Philadelphia Little Flyers. They also qualified for the Junior A National Championships in Boston, MA.

The Pittsburgh Junior Penguins have a proven record of advancing players to A level teams in the Northeast from our two highly successful Jr. B programs in the Jr B Empire (EJBHL) and Continental Jr. B Premier (CHA) leagues. This has enabled our Western Pa athletes to continue their development at a level above Midget and High School Hockey and to showcase their talent against the nation’s best in front of their local fans.

The Junior Pens finished up their long season run in Marlborough, Mass. with their appearance at the USA Hockey Junior National tournament.The event this year was the first to host all three Tier III classifications simultaneously, at one location. The best teams from around the nation's Tier III Jr A, Jr B, and Jr C leagues gathered at the New England Sports Center for the week long event to determine the National Champions at each level.

The Continental Hockey Association held it's championship tournament this past weekend in Pittsburgh at the Harmarville Blade Runners facility to determine the league's remaining National bids at the Junior B and the Junior C level.

U16 - Joe Kush
This defenseman finished the month with a +10 and added 3 assists. For the year Joe was a +32 in 67 games.
U17 - Jayson Angus
Finished February with 5 Goals and 8 Assists. Jayson stepped up in the playoffs scoring 3 Goals and adding 2 assists in 3 playoff games.
U19- Josh Werner
In February netted 5 goals and added 7 assists. In 4 playoff games Josh scored 5 goals and added an assist.
Jr B Empire - Bill Sullivan
Recorded 3 goals and 5 assists for the month.
